NeoSeek Salmonella Serotyping

Genomic Testing

NeoSeek™ is a breakthrough pathogen detection and identification service that provides genomic-based serotype identification within 72 hours from suspected Salmonella-positive isolates and DNA-specific test results for seven pathogenic STECs. Enrichment broths and cultures for STEC confirmation can be utilized to eliminate the need for single colony isolation and deliver results more rapidly. Please check with your local representative for availability of this service within your region.

Neogen offers a wide range of rapid pathogen detection systems for Salmonella, Listeria and E. coli, including traditional methods like our Reveal line of tests, as well as high throughput testing using systems such as GeneQuence®, ANSR®, Soleris® and BioLumix®. Neogen’s line of Acumedia can also fit into your SOP’s with high quality media formulations available in custom blends, in bulk, or standard quantities.

Neogen offers the industry’s most complete line of GIPSA-approved mycotoxin tests. Get quantitative results for up to 19 samples at a time against controls with Neogen’s Veratox platform. In addition, the new line of Reveal Q+ tests can deliver precise results after only minutes. Following a simple extraction the user combines the extract with a diluent, inserts a Reveal Q+ test strip, then reads the strip in Neogen’s AccuScan® Gold reader to receive precise results. Additionally, Neogen's mycotoxin proficiency testing programs offer a straightforward method for continually monitoring and validating your testing procedures.

Rapid Protein Testing

Because of its ease of use and clarity of result, many companies prefer to utilise our self-contained protein detection tests for their hygiene monitoring programmes. AccuClean® Advanced is intended to be used as a simple method to determine the cleanliness of food contact surfaces and equipment. AccuClean Advanced is housed in a fully self-contained cartridge that once activated, changes colour to indicate the relative level of protein detected on a sampled surface.

After 10 seconds, the solution is compared to a colour comparison chart for interpretation. If no protein is detected, the solution in the bottom of the cup will remain copper-coloured to indicate the surface is clean. A colour change to grey indicates low level protein has been detected, while a change to green/blue or blue indicates a higher level of protein detected.

Adulterants, growth promoters and other drug residues often create issues with exportation, market access, and label claims. Neogen helps with verifying and validating products to show auditors, customers, and potential buyers that adulterants, growth promoters or other types of residues are absent in products.

Seafood and Shellfish Toxins

Neogen offers seafood and shellfish analysis test kits to detect various marine biotoxins. These toxins include amnesic shellfish poisoning (ASP), diarrhetic shellfish poisoning (DSP), paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP), histamine, and sulfites. Our Alert screening kit and quantitative Veratox test kits fit into the laboratory setting and have the capability of running up to 90 tests per kit to detect drug residue such as chloramphenicol and more. Each test type compares samples against known levels of toxin, and provides results in minutes. Each requires only a minimal amount of training and equipment. All are compatible with the European Union Commission and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) permitted levels.
