Product number: NCM0186

Minerals Modified Glutamate Broth is for the enumeration of coliforms in water and is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.

This medium was developed for use with the Most Probable Numbers Technique (M.P.N.) for the enumeration of coliforms in water supplies. The medium is an improved version of the chemically defined glutamic acid medium described by Gray in 1964. The product is supplied in three parts because it has been shown that separating the sodium glutamate from the base improves its stability.
