Allergen food testing

Number one cause for Global Product Recalls are due to undeclared food allergens. A food allergy is an immune system reaction to the presence of certain proteins found in various foods. Allergic reactions vary from person to person but in some individuals even the slightest presence can cause serious even fatal reactions. Because of this proper food labeling is crucial.

Neogen's allergen testing is available for the analysis of a wide variety of food matrices, CIP rinse waters and environmental swabs using ELISA methods. Our comprehensive range of products and services can help you to control and manage allergens within your manufacturing facility.

Neogen offers valuable information on many topics related to Allergens and important factors to consider when developing your Allergen Control Plan in our Allergen Handbook. Neogen also offers helpful suggestions for your facility regarding Food Allergen Validation and Verification.
